A "self-portrait" through the genre of a "still-life" painting. The objects are all that I have collected whilst out walking, the plants are ones I have planted, I love the shape of the sedum plants. I am particularly fond of the colours turquoise and pink and have used these particular colours within the painting to suggest a little more about my preferences. I am a keen observer and love to draw.

Watercolour, frottage and pencil

A keen walker of the South West Coast Path, this painting shares the story of my walk from Lamorna cove to Penzance and the beach finds I found along the way become part of that story through frottage. I also like to research the history of the people working the land or the sea in these areas, hence the writing within the painting.
