Inspired by my young childhood when I would lay on the grass, excited eyes fixed on the moving and morphing cloudscape, with a vivid imagination I would see figures, faces, animals and castles in clouds, an ever evolving theatre of wonder playing out just for what my hungry imaginative mind chose to make of it. These are two of my Cloud pieces brought into one piece with a other additional figurative elements bringing a new dialogue to the one the other two figures are having between them.

This piece, is as the title alludes to someone deeply preoccupied, eyes inward looking, the unshaved face possibly giving us a sense that his thoughts have been consuming him for some time, so much so that he is neglecting himself a bit, as he moves through wishful thinking and caution, nothing is definate, it is unsettled, not fully focused, I endeavour to reflect this with the work bleed outs / under defined areas of this self portrait.
